The objective of building Digital Infrastructure is to achieve inclusive growth through modern technology. Digital Technologies have emerged as catalysts for rapid economic growth and citizen empowerment. The Government is making conscious efforts to bridge the gap between the tribal area and the mainstream area through e-connectivity. Under the broadband provision initiative under VKY, all tribal talukas would get broadband connectivity, WIFI connectivity. Digital India project’s main aim is to "transform India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy”. Khedbrahma Taluka of Sabarkantha District has connected all 32 Village Panchayats with high speed internet and became the first tribal taluka to be 100% Wi-Fi enabled. TDD has already come up with the scheme to provide internet connectivity to tribal talukas across Gujarat.
