Constitution of VKY

Government of Gujarat launched Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana (VKY), also known as Chief Minister’s 10 Point Programme on February 27, 2007 in the Budget Session of the State Assembly. Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) was created for conceptualization, execution and supervision of various interventions under Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana. D-SAG has been mandated to assist in implementation of VKY, launching of outcome oriented initiatives, and involvement of local people in planning and monitoring of various interventions launched for the benefit of ST families. The Governing Body of D-SAG has been authorized to develop specific norms, procedures and systems for management and supervision of these projects. The Body will function with the representation from concerned departments of the Government of Gujarat under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Gujarat forging strong convergence with other implementing departments of the Government of Gujarat.
