Doodh Sanjeevani Yojana envisages provision of flavoured milk (200 ml) daily to the primary school students .The scheme was started from the year 2007-08 covering 7 tribal talukas. Currently the scheme is being implemented in 28 tribal talukas. This scheme is being implemented in collaboration with Women and Child Department. More than 8 lakh children have benefitted from this scheme. As a result of implementation of this scheme there is a considerable decrease in the drop rate of the students and an increase in punctuality of students together with significant improvement in the health of children suffering from malnutrition.
